Sunflower seeds

Do you need to take the shell off them? I have always fed them whole but have just read on another forum that they should be de-shelled as the horse cannot digest the shell.

They never come out of Baron whole so I presume he does digest them. I know when I first started feeding oats they came out as they went in until I soaked them for longer.

No, just feed them! Some come out the other end but not alot.

Where do you get them from ??

Any big pet store, I order mine from our feed lady. They are packaged as bird food. Hope this helps

i get mine from Farmway, £7.99 for a 12.5kg bag
