I took Leah and Poppy for a nice long walk today, it was very relaxing. Took loads of photos, but my camera kept conking out so some of the best ones got messed up.

Anyway, there are still some nice ones:

Fluffy clouds

Poppy was excellent off the lead

She had fun exploring...

...but always came back when I called!

Leah loves to roll in the grass like a loony-dog.

Then we got to the river:

I put Poppy back on her lead because the water's deep and I didn't fancy diving in to save her!

Leah doesn't trust water, and kept her distance.
"What are you doing down there mum?"

"Wait for me!"

At this point the camera gave up the ghost so there are no pictures of the walk home! You might have noticed that Poppy is overweight at the moment - she's been put on a diet and her exercise is being upped, so hopefully we'll see her starting to trim down soon!

Probably not very interesting pics, but I like them.

Lovely pics

They look to be having a great time in the sunshine - and they are behaving themselves

I am instructing my two to look and learn

Lovely pics - I don't know if you got my wee note I put on a picture gallery thread a few weeks ago Charmaine, but a lady had a GSD lurcher in at the vets at the same time as us last month and she was the living spit of Leah!

She was SO bouncy

Ooh, I did see that and I meant to reply, but evidently forgot.

It always surprises me to see a dog that looks at all similar to her, because she's such an odd-looking thing.

I wonder if it was a long-lost littermate?

I was sooo pleased with how well Poppy behaved - until recently we never even dared to let her off the lead, and now she comes back like such a good girl every time.

I also feel somewhat smug because I got further with her in a few weeks than my sister (her owner) did in eight years...

She's only recently become lazy - when she was younger she just would not stop running! But now she's starting to realise that she's getting old and she's allowed to take things a bit more sedately now...
