Having seen others on here we felt inspired to try a new and exciting horse sport!
So we saddled up the Big Pony and started to gradually introduce the idea to him. I've never seen a horse look so disinterested at what was going on (the pretty mares in the next field were so much more interesting). Everything we tried he just got on with. In less than an hour we had him happily cantering around with my hubby on the back, who was also a beginner at this.

My pony rocks!!!
It's been a big day for us in many ways. Today was my first day out driving the trailer! We've done a practice 5 mile trip but this was a 120 mile round trip on motorways, city centres, suburban streets and country lanes. And we survived!!!
 
Thanks! He is gorgeous but we can't tell him that or his head will get to big to go in the trailer! :D
He is indeed a Clydie and this is the closest he's ever come to being a cart horse! It's a simple rope set up on the saddle with a caribbeaner (sp?) and quick release.
