I just wondered if anyone has used the Supercalm supplement or the Supercalm instant.

I saw it advertised in the Your Horse Mag and thought it may be usedul for Baron.

He gets very stressed when hacking out alone. He used to be dangerously nappy but we have mastered that (he still naps sometimes) but he does sweat loads and hold his head high with ears pricked when im trying to take him away from the yard.

Also although he loads well and behaves like an angel in the box he can sometimes get quite sweaty while travelling and when working away from home, especially when I take him for a lesson and there are no other horses. And the tension may refelct in our dressage which we are hoping to start doing quite a bit of this coming season.

Hes not naughty but he gets a little tense and hot. So do you think its worth giving this a try? Especially for the hacking part of things, Id love to take him on a hack and for him to remain calm and relaxed. Although singing to him helps I do feel like a bit of a prat, lol.

So any experience with this stuff?

My mare was similar to your travelling I now have her on Equifeasts cool, calm and collected and she is a lot better. She doesn't stress out now, although we still can not get her to eat anything whilst travelling
