Just wondering if people have successfully used these things?
I have a very nervous mini pony, who I need to catch for the farrier on Friday, hes scared of life so its a massive challenge to catch him!
Normally he will come close to me if I have snack a jacks or hoops and crosses (crisps) so today I gave him half a super calm (because of his size) and 2 hours later I went in, hid the lead rope under my t-shirt, hoops and crosses in hand, and he seemed more nervous than normal, he wouldn't come close enough, even though I knew he wanted to! he stretched for a crisps and jumped back as soon as he had it! so in the end I had to put a trail on the grass to get him to come closer! I was crouched down, so as to not be big and scary but there was no chance of me catch him! much worse than normal!
has anyone had good experiences with the calmer? not sure if I should bother trying it again!? as he's not fed normally, so I have to give him a bit of feed with it!
