Joined the cob lovers club. Little 14.2 cob I ride at the trekking centre is SO NICE! Of course no clue of her breeding or even whether she’s an Irish cob or Welsh but she’s just lush. Really helped cheer me up riding her recently. Prozac in pony form!

So glad that you've found a fun cob to ride.

This is the fun cob that I rode last week at a trekking centre, and I was beaming from ear to ear after having a fantastic 2 hour trek on him. Different part of the country to you, I think.

I was hoping to get another afternoon trek in today if they have spaces, but it looks like the wintery weather is due to come in half a day earlier than was earlier forecast so from midday, so I'll have to contain myself. Boo.

Tiddlypom he’s lovely. Where are you? I’m in Hampshire we go along the Meon valley trail it’s a disused railwayline for nine miles I think!

Not usually no. The Gypsy Cobs are a breed of their own and are rarely crossed with Welsh. You will get the odd coloured cob crossed with a Fell, Dale's or Highland pony but mostly they stick to their own breed.
They get crossed a fair bit to make coloured natives for showing and I think it’s quite a functional cross too so definitely possible.

Can't beat a good cob!
My girly loves her hacking, and is currently 'educating' a new sharer.
IE - tried telling sharer that they should be turning left to canter up the hill and head home, not going straight on to continue up the downs, as that's the llooooooonnngggggg route. 🙈

Psst, he may look like a cob with that hairdo, but Buttons is actually a standardbred.

He's at Cannock Chase trekking centre in Staffordshire, which is about 1 hour 20 mins from me but well worth the drive :). Lots of off road riding trails on the Chase to choose from.

I must thank you @Tiddlypom, as you prompted me to go looking for my professional photo of me on Buttons, and I realised I'd accidentally deleted it and another one from my hard drive. The horror! Fortunately, I think I can persuade the photographer (the fabulous Tim from Firefoot Photography, who often comes to take photos on rides from Cannock Chase Trekking Centre - my avatar is another one of his) to resend the digital files as I've still got the original order email. Phew!
