So yesterday was the last dressage competition of the winter league, and it got quite competitive for points and as I had been going all winter i was in 2nd spot and was going to stay there! So I did the 2 Prelim tests, which quite frankly went awful and I didn't get placed in either, so gained no points. So someone said there are only 2 entries in the Elementary 42 test, so you are guaranteed 4th (another person also went mad and did the test last minute too!). So off I went and got Gypsy back out of his stable, tacked him up and we went and did the Elementary test! Having never done anything higher than a prelim, or even schooled to anything higher than maybe a Novice test. Anyway, test went surprisingly well, the first counter canter went great, the second poor cobbie said we were on the wrong leg and did a flying change (which we are actually currently working on, but he always canters on the wrong leg anyway?!) but bless him he did so well and made me a very happy mummy. We came 3rd! ok, out of 4 but still
