Beastie has asked Santa for either a super cosy coat or a jumper to wear under her existing coats!

Anyone any idea of the best ones to get? She currently has a fleecy Masta coat and a Muddy Paws one. Think it's Muddy Paws, it's a waterproof one and velcros along her back.

She says thanks and furry hugs to all those that reply

I recently bought my boxer and weimaraner a Joules Weatherbeeta outdoor coat and a Horseware fleecey coat for chillier days. They absolutely love them and the rugs fit really well. Im really impressed with the Horseware ones the fleece is exactly the same as the horse rugs and the Joules rugs were really good value too.

Here are a few pics of my girls in theirs:

I was just on the Equa Fleece website and they sell 'tankies' to wear under coats. Anyone used them?

Your dogs are very cute benjis_girl, they coats look very similar to the Masta one Beastie has.

Patches put me onto the muddy paws website, which has some lovely little coats, all ideal for dogs that need warmth and dryness. And good prices too.

Jack had one which had the belly cover that then did up round his belly. It stayed on well, as did his weatherbeeta one (though the belly strap was too big).

Yes i have a tankie fleece for my english pointer, fits him really well and keeps him so cozy. He also has a dog coat from robinsons. It's just like a mini horse rug and is so warm. It was cheap too, about £15. Would thoroughly recommend it.

I have Equafleece ones for 2 of my 3 - they love them, and they are amazingly warm and reasonably waterproof as well. They both have the ones that have all 4 legs in, and have not had a problem peeing (they are both boys) in them. They wash nicely, and dry quickly, and don't get too smelly. They keep their bellies warm (one is a whippet, the other a ridgeback) which I like, and the normal "rug" versions don't do.

My other dog is a Deerhound, and seems to be made of hot teflon, so doesn't need any help keeping warm or dry - even if they did make a rug that would fit him - he has a lightweight pony stable rug for night times - he wears a 3'6" !!

My boxer has the yellow stripe but i'd like to get a brown one too!

I ordered them from the Frogpool Manor website, i have a feeling they had the blue striped rug on sale too!
