My little Welsh B crosses his front feet in walk - like a super model. It's not so obvious in trot or canter but his feet are still quite close. On long hacks when he gets tired he quite often trips over his feet!!! He's only 4 and the vet suggested we try some brushing boots. Just wondered whether they would make any difference or is it something he will grow out of? There isn't a very big gap at the top of his legs (I'm sure there is a better 'horsey' word to describe where I mean) so just wondered if he'd 'fill out' there?

Hi there, what you pony does is called 'plaiting'. It is basically a conformation fault. As he is only 4 he will mature yet and could improve. One of mine does this and she's 18 now! It does mean they can trip up a little more than usual, and brushing boots are a good idea, but won't solve it. Hope that helps X
