argh! after coming back alive and with 2 clears from show jumping in november we are going to attempt our first xc at potton on the 13th!my first one for 15 years! bit scary as know mare has done bsja but not xc - am hoping she enjoys herself as i always find xc easier as its much more forward going! any tips? not sure how she or me am going to react to water dicthes banks etc! have heard its a nice course tho. Also if anyone wants to give a novice a lead round in pairs (not likely i know!) then let me know as i would love to give it a go!!!

There is no water at potton and no open ditches so ur lucky there. The bank is huge, i wont lie, but it rides beautifully especially when going up!!! Just get your bum out of the saddle and enjoy. You'll have a great time and its a lovely course.

Oh also if i dont have a pair i will gladly give you a lead round. Pairs are first then the open so it will give you a good warm up!

XC in January?! Who holds XC in January?!! Our area dont even think about running XC until well into March! Good luck though, just make sure the ground is ok.
