I have a 24 year old retired showjumping who has been fed glucosamine for over 5 years now and is still sound. I want to start also feeding him turmeric for all the additional health benefits however I was wondering if I can still feed the glucosamine. I would be feeding him the global herbs version of turmeric with oil but want to know if the two together will have any bad affects ?

As far I as know there would be no reason why you couldn't.

Some horses do react to turmeric, so don't change anything else feed wise apart from the turmeric for a few weeks just to make sure :)

Thank you for your response, yes the global herbs version has black pepper and lemon in to help absorption and also recommends adding a little oil :)

Thank you for your response, yes nothing else will change just hoping it helps with his old man joints more than anything :) fingers crossed no bad reactions :)

Checkout Hackup.co.uk they do bespoke supplements and turmeric can be added, my horse won't eat it have just had to ask them to remove it
