Roo stayed in her stable last night, and when I went to see her this morning she was lying down. Of course, she saw me and got up. She then sort of 'hobbled' (for want of a better word) to the front of the stable, and after a couple of minutes was then ok again.
She's 15, so I think lying down just makes her stifff. What supplements can I give her to help with her joints?

Green lipped mussell capsules from Holland and Barretts are good for joint stiffness/inflammation/arthritis etc.

Its ths same as Pernamax/Maxavita but a third of the price.

4 capsules a day in feeds should do it

Mine is on Codlivine with joint supplement and that seems to help him. My dressage (?) horse is on Cortaflex as he is a big lad and am trying to look after his joints.
Codlivine is a lot cheaper than Cortaflex though.

Keeps my 16.3 maxicob moving - he can get stuck getting up or down when he's not on it - nothing specifically wrong with him - just 16 yr old wear and tear on a ex hunt horse ;-)
