Hello, I have a 23 year old Connemara who is starting to get a little stiff. He is in semi retirement and gets light hacking a couple of days a week. Looking for a supplement to help his joints through old age, any suggestions?

For the past 18 months, I have had my husbands old ex hunter on haf a sachet of bute a day. Over the past couple of weeks, I have weaned him off this and onto tumeric. It took him a couple of days to accept it in his feed, but now he and my other older horse, are eating up well.

I would hesitate to use this with a horse that has had a history of gastric ulcers, but as mine have never shown symptoms, I have not been overly concerned about this.

Both horses are moving well and not showing any adverse reaction.

Had great results with this:-

and they offer your money back if it doesn't work

Ive been using supplease gold but since seeing this might switch over. Ive nearly ran out and aviform are out of stock untill 6th.

I called equimins for some info and they were very helpful and not at all pushy ! I questioned how do you know if it doesnt work for your customers and was advised they go by what the customer says !! Cant get better than that.

I'm using turmeric too - but it's mainly to persuade my younger horse to eat his feeds. He LOVES it

I also really recommend simple and cheap micronised linseed - great for coat, gut and joints.

Hello I have ha my 24 ex event horse on Allan and page veteran feed and I also add linseed powder, along with chaf, I also give it to har on a night so I give it warm, her coat is so shiny and she looks fab I wouldn't take her off it as she is still in work and doing great, the veteran feeds have all the oils in them.

Good luck as its a mine field out there!!
