Hello, im sorry if this has been done a million times before!
This winter my pony had a bout of laminitis resulting in 9degrees rotation in both fore feet. I dont think he has had it previously. cushings test was negative.
He is currently off the grass being fed soaked hay and a small amount of fast fibre with a multivitamin supplement. he has just finished a tub of global herbs re-builder as well.
He is still a bit fat but slowly losing the weight.

He is almost sound, currently has front shoes with these rubbery support pad things lol (although this month the little monkey somehow managed to pull one off!). hes having more xrays in a few weeks.

Ive heard about magnesium oxide for laminitics. should i begin to feed this? (found some on feedmark.com)
Is there anything else recommended? was considering the NAf laminaze but not sure it will be worth it when i can buy things like magnesium oxide for a fraction of the price.

Thanks for any advice! x

The naf laminaze made my lami put weight on to fast fast so I took him off it.

He is IR so his feed consists of hi fi molasses free, fast fibre a half scoop of pro balance plus from progressive earth for hoof strength and general vit and min and he is also on dodson and horrel ultimate balancer. And metformin morning and night.
Hay in the summer he has 7lbs soaked (I get stick for this as its not ad lib but its kept him right) and 7 hours grazing.

He has a 15 degree rotation (from what I remember) in both front hooves.

Try ForagePlus - you may get on well with Sarah Braithwaite's supplement - it's an all in one so it will have more or less everything you need.

There's always ProEarth and Equimins MetaBalance as well.

Better an all in one than a single supplement.
