Those people whose horses have sensitive skin - do you find any supplements help at all? Mine has rubbed like nobody's business anywhere that he's clipped this winter, even his numnah seam has irritated him badly. Have had this to a very minor extent before but nothing like this, he just seems to be ultra sensitive at the moment. Am usually a bit sceptical of the claims made fir some supplements but would try anything at the moment so has anyone had any positive experiences?

Brewers Yeast has helped mine in the past, also its coming upto coat change time so I like to used the Global Herbs Re-store as well :)

Equidermis is great for helping to heal the skin on my horse who is sensitive to fly bites. He swells up, goes itchy and rubs. Healing is quicker with the supplement.

Equidermis plus from feedmark. Contains linseed, brewer's yeast and various natural things like nettles and clivers. Great for skin related probs and against reactions to fly bits etc.

Thanks everyone. Did you mean stopping Brewer's Yeast or adding it in Pearlsasinger? I just ask because I read somewhere that while it can be helpful in the majority of cases, for some horses it can actually make them more itchy! I don't feed haylage but the grass (and therefore the hay made on the farm) is ultra rich ex-cattle pasture and I did wonder if that could be contributing in some way. We're moving to a new yard soon and I will be interested to see if things get better then.
