As title. Has anyone had experience of managing riggy behaviour? Anyone found any products particularly helpful?

Hello chazza44. My 2 yr old gelding head been really acting up and becoming quite aggressive so I'm interested in our post. Is urs a rig or just 'right' behaviour?

I have just had my boy tested and am shocked that he has come back negative. I cannot get him to eat agnus castus powder at all no matter how little I put in his feed:( Shame really as I bought rather a lot to "save money"

A friend feeds her late-cut gelding (who had been used as a stallion before she bought him) on alfalfa to damp down his hormones. It contains phyto-oestrogens, which is why some mares react badly to it. It works really well for my friend.

Another vote for the global herbs rig calm, works wonderfully on one of mine who was cut late and is very much thinks of himself as a "ladies man".

He did think we were trying to poison him at first so brought some mint put in it too and he eats it fine :)

From what I've read, rig calm appears to be just agnus castus and mag Ox? Undoubtedly works well but I'm considering trying to make my own as it'll be much cheaper?

I used rigcalm with dramatic results... I was considering putting some in oh tea! Tried the agnus cactus... Horse wouldn't eat it despite smelling similar to.rigcalm.
