Supplements for stiffness in hips (GSDs)

Can anyone recommend anything? have been adding cod liver oil which has worked very well for my 10 yr old dog but with this cold weather the 8 yr old bitch seems to be having real trouble. Totally unable to get into the car at the mo.
Does Canine Cortaflex or something similar work?

try back on track dog bed and rug.

Our lab is really stiff but when she sleeps on the dog bed at night she can get straight up in the morning no problem.

My dog is on canine cortaflex and I have noticed a real difference, he used to be like an old man getting out of bed and now is a spring chicken. Well not literally of course.

JOINT AID for dogs, brilliant stuff, my lab had synequin prescribed by the vet, yet the Joint aid works far more efficiently! It has made a lame dog sound.

I know someone who has just started giving NAF joint mobilty (I think it is called), 10yr old lab was having real problems just getting up never mind about. After 3 days he was like a puppy again! They though yeah right it is the good, so stopped it, 4 days later dog was back to square one, so is back on it & much free'er now again!

I swear by cortaflex for myself & horses but have never used it for a dog.

Worked wonders for Canine Puppy when she first started getting stiff

Made her able to get in the car again etc - really noticed the change

She's now on prescription stuff though....

Anything containing Glucosamine basically - my 12 year old GSD has been on it for over a year and he is fit as a fiddle - jumps in an out of the car etc. with no probs.
