Which is better - to give in liquid or powdered form?

Read somewhere that liquids are absorbed more easily by the horse but are not so effective if the horse doesn't eat the feed straightaway i.e. he trickle feeds in which case a powder is better.
Any nutritionists on here that can shed the light please?

i would definately say powder as the common ingredients in joint supplements (the expensive ones like glucosamine and chondroitin) stay more stable in powder form in a liquid you cant guarantee how much the horse is recieving. For many herbal supplments liquid can be preferable.

I was under the impression liquid was absorbed quicker, once louded into the system I switched to powder, that was cortaflex
