my horses will be out 24/7 from tomorrow i have a 4yr old gelding a 2 year old gelding and a 3 year old gelding just wondered if they will need supplements or will they get all they need from the grass?
and if they will need supplements any suggestions?

If you are concerned, especially as your neddies are young, you could give a general purpose supplement in a small amount of chaff to be sure they are getting all they need. Personally I think mine would be fine with the grass, though it is difficult to say for sure if yours would, as I don't know what your grass is like.

I have just put enormous field licks out - they were about £15 per tub (15kg) so that I don't have to feed while the grass is good - that might be worth a shot if you have your own paddocks? Otherwise a good GP supplement in a little bit of feed would do the trick.

You could an analysis done on your grass to see how much nutrition they are receiving so you know exactly what to supplement their diet with.
