There are probably hundreds of them on the market :) just wondered what you all use? and whether you use them for a problem/condition/reason or just because you wouldnt feed without.. if this makes sense? only reason i ask, a lady i know feeds that pink powder by NAF for no reason at all.. hmmm...does it actually make a difference if theres no problem??

i use a few:
Naf veteran - he's 20 and not on an age-related feed so want to make sure he's getting everything he needs.
superflex - mostly preventative as he still jumps and is getting on a bit.
oil - for a shiny coat :)
he sometimes gets electrolytes if it's really warm and he's been working hard.

My 20 yo gets Topspec 10:10 joint supplement (as a preventative measure more than anything as he still competes jumping etc), the other two oldies also get a maintenance amount of it and they all get some flaxseed/linseed oil as a general supplement really, I believe it helps give them a shiny coat, is good for the joints and also (if you believe what it says on the tub) aids digestion and hekps prevent colic. At the moment we are also adding garlic granules to all the feeds (although my pony's not convinced by it!). Not sure of the reasons, it was my sister's idea. I think it's supposed to help deter flies to some degree but is also good for general health anyway (as it is for us humans!)
