I am looking at a joint supplement for my big fella. Someone has mentioned linseed oil. Does anyone use this or reccommend ?

Horse is 20, showing signs of stiffness / arthritis. His a chunky fella so dont want to add any weight to him, he is on rationed grazing, strip grazed increased gradually, fed Bailey's local balancer, hi fi lite and vegetable oil.

used to use Glucosomine but have since found out it contains a fair amount of sugar, so dont want to risk that !

Msny Thanks in advance for your help

I have tried Linseed for my old boy whos 36 yrs young but it didnot seem to do anything. He is currently on Codlivine Supplejoint and it seems to be helping his movement. Another one that is good is Equimins Flexi joint it has green lipped mussel in it. I think all horses are different and for my old boy who had DJD i found Thunderbrook Base mix worked. It is Linseed based but with loads of other stuff in and its organic my boy also had laminitis.
