Riaflex Canine joint plus was recommended to me by Chiffy for our old lab (she is 10, has arthritic elbows, she still works (in the season.)).
She has been on yumove for a year or so and it has worked well but she seemed to be slowing down and not keeping up well on walks, especially on the drive and so on where she is on a hard surface. Put her on this new stuff and wow! Much waggier, keener to walk, keeps up well and altogether a happier bunny. She is on half the recommended amount for her size and it has made a huge difference.
So for anyone who feels their dog is a bit slower than they used to be I would recommend it.

That’s good news Clodagh. My flatcoat has a level scoop twice a day and is doing brilliantly after a long try with Yumove did nothing.
Talking to them at Crufts, it was suggested I could add in a tiny scoop of Green Lipped Mussel, also from them but it smells quite strong and Abbey says she would rather starve!
My daughter’s lurcher has responded brilliantly to their Devils Alternative for an injury that Metacam did nothing to help. Amazing!

I was tempted to try a joint supplement for Hoover but went for the Metacam option because I felt it was more than joints - I'm delighted, he is skipping around like a puppy again and his appetite has improved hugely, it is fantastic :)

Obviously I am also massively guilty knowing that he has been suffering discomfort or pain :( :(

Really don't feel guilty. I am exactly the same, with Brandy we think 'Oh it is too hot for her' or just assume she is getting old. you don't know, as they are such stoics, that they are uncomfortable.

We’ve really noticed Aled struggling to get up and down over the last couple of weeks. He’s fine when he’s up and about, still wants to run and chase his ball etc. He’s been on yumove which doesn’t seem to be doing anything anymore, so we have a vets appt tomorrow. Going to get bloods run and see if he can have metacam or something similar.

Mum's collie has loxicom every day and has for two years now. She has 6 monthly bloods, all fine, and it has made such a difference. She is maybe a little younger than Aled, but as a rescue no idea really.

Thank you. I’m a bit worried they’ll find things wrong with him that we’re unaware of to be honest, but he’s happy enough in himself x
