Can anyone recommend some simple, effective exercises for suppling up the old ex P2P I am riding occasionally? He is about 18 years old and 17hh and he is quite stiff behind but loosens up after about 20 mins work.
His owner has kindly lent him to me to do a few dressage tests over the winter (- we came 4th in our first one last sunday!) and after an encouraging start I'd like to see if we can progress to Nov. Getting him to work in a rounded outline may be a bit more challenging. He has never been asked to - what are the chances of teaching him at his age?
