Xmas eve I went to the yard to find my wheelbarrow had 4 holes in it (I think the screws have rusted and then come out. So the base of the wheelbarrow was only attached by two screws at the front. Went to the muck heap, tipped the muck out and the wheelbarrow worked like one of those tipper things lol, the bucket part tipped away from the base!
I thought, well it will have to last through xmas, so I tied it up with bailer twine and had a good laugh at it with a couple of liveries.

Today I went to the yard, filled my barrow up with muck, was really full, so heavy, went to push it to realise I have a flat tyre now!!! so I dragged it to the muck heap and then borrowed someone elses barrow. Lol, Im thinking its dead now.

So, Im not sure what Ill use for a couple of days till I can buy a new one! When do shops reopen??

Oh no! If only it happened befor christmas you could have put a wheelbarrow on your list.
My wheelbarrow cost 15 quid in the sale , ok its not huge and i had a puncture. Bought the wheel at the same shop and it cost 15 quid exactly what i paid for the wheel barrow.
Although i do like the sound of that tipper invention, you could be on to something there!

If you store metal wheelbarrows tipped up they take much, much longer to rust. In my youth Dad was always nagging us about the barrows so now I can't leave even the plastic barrows untipped. Sad, I know.

I had to get a new wheelbarrow recently as mine did the tipper thing too. I became a wheelbarrow bore as I researched the best model for my needs on line, and then waxed lyrical about how much better it was than the old one! I am officially a sad person :).

You can get puncture proofing gunk to put in the inner tube, it's worth doing IMHO.

How annoying would that be! Happened with ours in September when the gardener used it to help build the fences. We had to buy one online via ebay. To be honest it was one of the best buys we made because it's huge!
