Hi all,

My horse is finally moving down to join me in Surrey so instead of an hours drive each way it will now be 2 minutes yippeee!!!

But being new to the area I don't have any contacts for anything. So would love some recommendations or stay away froms for allsorts, farriers, saddlers, back/teeth folk.. the lot!

The liveries at the yard I am moving to all use different people so I can of course get recommendations there but would really like a heads up.

Oooh you are quite near us - we are in Bookham, just over the A3.

Yep the hacking is my only real reserve but it is still alot better then where I have been in the past and will be a little adventure. You will probably find me wondering around Effingham one day looking very lost. I do like to wonder and dissapear for a few hours lol
 
I am in Worplesdon (nr Merrist Wood) and I have a few do's if you want them and not too many don'ts!

You can always box over to a few places to hack like Newlands corner, Black Heath or Puttenham which are really nice.
 
Lol hacking in effingham is lovely, it's the one thing i really miss! I was at a yard that backed onto common land, only had to walk down a private road and we were there! I have a friend that is still there and im very envious of her, we used to go out for hours (sometimes the whole afternoon)... only thing we had to watch out for were the horses from the P2P yard but they only came out at certain times

I'm near Dorking. Not really close enough to give you farrier number (he travels from Sussex for me), but welcome to the area and good luck moving your ned!
 
Vetwise we use Shotter and Byers who are fantastic - http://www.shotterandbyers.co.uk/

Farriers we use Chris Khor (although I don't think he takes on anybody new) and Marc Lockwood (07738688640)

We use Jose Gomez for backs he is a vet chiropractor and has fixed plenty of ours! I dont have his number to hand but pm me if you ever want it, I wouldnt use anybody else for backs!

Teeth we use Nat Heal, brilliant 07774299582
