Surrey/Kent eventers

I am having trouble finding somewhere to do fast work. What do you all do?

I'm not an eventer but I ride out with one to keep my boy fit..... we're very lucky and have several large open fields (used by the hunt as well) - I think one is a mile around the edge and it's on a hill so can go up and down and along the flat

Coombelands in Pulborough have an all weather gallops you can hire??? Not sure if that is close to you or not??

We have all-weather gallops for hire at the yard where I keep my horse in Reigate. 8 furlongs long, though actually have no idea how far that is! Also I believe you can hire Lingfield racecourse (though never done it).

I did contact Lingfield but they only do mornings and I really need afternoons.

Ashdown Forest - £87 a year for a permit and go there as often as I can.

The forest can get a bit wet and slippery in the clay areas.

We have a nice field which the farmer lets us use. Was going to suggest Lingfield too.

That's true. I've got use of a field too but pony finds it too boring to gallop about in. Much more fun if the gallop goes somewhere.
