Below are some of the crimes in Reigate & Banstead of note recently
RB/12/3415 Smallfield Road, Horley Between 26/04 & 27/04/2012 offenders have visited a farm located off a main road. They have approached an open fronted double width barn and peeled a section of the corrugated iron sheet away in order to access the barn. They have then approached a Bailey Senator Carolina touring caravan. Using an implement they have forced open the locker at the front of the caravan where the gas canisters were stored. They have gone to the leisure battery section at the side of the caravan and have again forced this open. Once inside they have cut electrical wires and pulled the battery out leaving it on the ground they have then gained entry inside the caravan and have pulled up the seat cushions in order to access the electrical control units. Having located the alarm unit they have cut wires in order to silence the audible alarm. They have caused further damage to vents in the kitchen and bathroom. Have gained accesses to the roof and removed the vent units. They have removed the front nearside window unit intact have caused damage to the front offside unit cracking the pane and damaging the blind on the inside have removed the sunroof unit and have also selected and removed the awning and all poles before leaving the scene.
RB/12/3520 Reigate Road, Reigate Between 01/04 & 29/04/2012 Offender/s have gone to an open barn located in a field close to the River Mole. They have entered the barn and smashed all the side windows on a red Nissan parked within before leaving the scene
RB/12/3572 Green Lane, Horley On 05/05/2012 Offender/s have approached large detached farmhouse. Have removed panes of glass from porch door and entered porch area. They have then tried to jemmy open the door to gain access to kitchen but have been unable to open door but consequently have damaged door and have then made off from the location.
RB/12/3753 Bletchingley Road, Redhill Between 01/05 & 10/05/2012 offenders have, for the second time in less than a month, damaged the wire fence around a nature reserve.

TD/12/1990 Farleigh Court Road, Warlingham Between 04/05 & 08/05/12 offenders stole both wheels from a road trailer and a sand leveller rake from a riding school.
TD/12/2021 Doctors Lane, Chaldon Between 09/05 & 10/05/2012 offenders have broken into a stable in a small yard by breaking off the padlock and stolen a yellow stihl chainsaw.
TD/12/2035 Warwick Wold Road, Bletchingley Between 03/05 & 04/05/2012 Offenders broke the padlock off a small holding and stole tools including a stihl chainsaw and a pressure washer. Luckily the offenders left some evidence behind, which is currently being examined for forensics.
TD/12/2081 Cheverells, Warlingham On the afternoon between 15:00 & 16:00 of the 10/05/2012 Men with dogs and a white van were seen on land up near the gas works. It was then discovered that they had smashed in the gates in to an empty pheasant pen.
TD/12/2081 Church Lane, Godstone Overnight on the 21/05/2012 offenders stole a 1/3 of a bag of feed and a riding crop from an unlocked stable in a stable yard in a field.

MV/12/1976 Sheep Green, Ockley Between 14/05 & 15/05/2012 Offender/s have approached the front of a detached farm house situated in a rural area of Ockley where they have gained entry causing no visible damage. They have then entered the kitchen where they have removed a set of vehicle keys from work top. They have then exited the premises closing door. On leaving they have approached a grey Isuzu Trooper parked at entrance of driveway and removed vehicle from the location using keys and left scene.
P12139265 Partridge Lane, Newdigate On 17/05/2012 at 15:12 Informant went out and confronted 3 males who were standing by their vehicles as they were looking into the informants field. The informant spoke to the older male, whom responded by saying they were looking for land and he had heard there was land for sale. They were travelling in a white, with single cab, with an extra bit on the back, an old style possibly a Volkswagen, not the usual make for a pick up and an old, beaten up vehicle, a Freelander, British racing green was not brand new but a newer version, approx 6-7 years old. In the back of the pick up there was fairground lights and equipment.
P12139555 Standon Lane, Ockley On 17/05/2012 at 19:03 the informant informed us that there was deer poaching going on. 4x4s had been seen parked down lanes. One male had been challenged and was quite nasty. The male challenged, as mentioned above, was using a black 4x4 J 918 PKK

THEFTS
A mini digger was stolen overnight 15/05/12 from West Common, Lindfield. It is believed that a tilting bed recovery vehicle was used. Serial 0224 15/05/12 refers.
A white transit van was stolen in the College Road area of Ardingly; overnight 17/05/12. The vehicle was full of carpentry tools and was later found abandoned, empty on Balcombe Lane. Serial 389 17/05/12 refers.
Nationally there has been an increase in theft of horse trailers. It is expected that some of these are stolen for their scrap value. Please ensure your trailers are secured out of sight of public rights of way, post coded on the roof and alarmed if possible.

SCAM WARNING - EQUINE WASTE
Kindly brought to our attention by: Wiltshire Police
Be aware of a company offering an "Equine Waste Recycling service"! They offer to supply skips and empty them for 12 months for very little money!! One victim explained - "I took up the offer for 2 skips at a cost of £840 incl. VAT. These skips have never arrived.... I have asked for a full refund but not received it". Wiltshire Police are dealing.
People in five counties, Wilts, Berks, Hants, Somerset and Dorset have all been scammed to date...... If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE SEEN IN NUMEROUS LOCATIONS
Please report any sightings of a dark coloured Mitsubishi L200 index DA06VTU if you deem the circumstances to be suspicious. The vehicle has been seen in the Midhurst, Bepton, and Milland and Liphook areas over the bank holiday weekend and is believed to be connected to overnight crime.
We are aware of the owners so we are interested in reports where you feel the occupants may be about to commit crime, any sightings during the hours of darkness are especially important.
