Surrey Union Meet on 6 November

Hi there, I have bugged the secretary enough with my questions so I thought I would put them out here if you don't mind!

I am going out for the first time with the Surrey Union on 6 November, the meet is near Guildford somewhere.......

I just wondered what the normal attire is for the day (ie is tweed still OK after opening meet or is black a must) and what kind of a meet it is, ie. hard core jumping or more like a morning on hound excercise.............

I used to hunt with the Vale of Aylesbury but I have now moved to Surrey so just wanted to check out the lay of the land really.......any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi,

6th is a good meet, it will be a mixture of farmland and common land, jumping will be smallish (ie no hedges but lots of inviting purpose built timber) and some if it over sponsored ride fences. the common land up there is simply STUNNING miles of sandy tracks and open space. You will enjoy.
