Survey of injury rates in equestrian activities - your feedback wanted

Looks an intersting survey.
Could Add Polo as an activity.
For the medical expenses, as UK emergency and hospital treatment is free, and a set prescription chagre, the most signifiacnt cost of being injured , after any lost income, is incurring costs for livery / groom costs for those on DIY livery, household and childcare help. However, dental trestment can be expensive, so 'Medical and Dental'?
For breeds and types, TB, Warmblood, Hunter, Arab, Cob, Heavy Horse, Light Horse (Other types), M&M/Native, Riding pony, Pony (Other types)

Hope you get a good response.

Just had a quick scan through the survey and the thing that springs to mind immediately (because it pertains directly to me) is that in the list of "body areas" where an injury has been incurred, there is no mention of the clavicle (collar bone). If I were completing the survey for real, I suppose I'd have to put it under "shoulder". However, according to the orthopaedic surgeon who operated on mine, broken clavicles are by far and away the most common horse related injury he comes across in his work. So I'm inclined to think that for the purpose of the survey the clavicle should be a specific in itself.

there's a spelling error in "traditional" at the start of page 2.

i think "concussion" should have its own line in the table of injuries, with "mild" or "severe" categories. or perhaps "knocked unconscious"
or does this just come under "head injuries"?

would agree with Faro, clavicle (collar bone) injuries are very common, should be a separate line for those.

in the section on whether one has had formal instruction, perhaps it's worth asking whether that is still ongoing?

The whole survey needs making more European. Adding hunting, polo, PC games, other equestrian sports like vaulting horseball, polocrosse would also be useful.
The breeds obviously need changing but the survey is a very interesting idea. good luck
