Hi all,
Long story short, mare injured her medial suspensory branch in March 2010, 3 months box rest small paddock turnout, hand walking etc, etc, re-injured it again last November, 3 MORE months box rest, hand walking etc etc , now she is about 1/10-2/10 lame in trot, sound at walk, but swelling much reduced, hooleying round paddock, bucking etc and generally quite full of beans! Vet saying a couple more months off and she can probably start work again. Has anyone had a horse with a similar injury that has come completely sound? I only want to be able to hack lightly with her so vet has said she should be ok for that, but just wondering what others experiences are with this type of injury? I have been told to PTS once or twice by well meaning but annoying individuals, but she's my horse of a lifetime so unless shes in pain and suffering that aint going to happen!
