My horse knocked himself in the stable two weeks ago, I think he must have got cast but nobody saw. I got to the stables that evening and his front leg was enormous, I had a feel around and there was a cut over his suspensory ligament, it wasn't hot but the swelling was slightly warm.
Trotted him up and completely sound so bandaged him and walked him out for a week, then restricted turn out for the following week. The swelling has completely gone and the cut is healing but I am concerned that he may have caught his suspensory ligament-although I would think he would be hopping lame in this case. Any thoughts? Weldone for getting this far!!!!
