suspensory ?

for the last week Otto has been sound in walk and trot but on 3 legs in canter.Another livery today suggested it could be a suspensory lig ? I will call the vet monday but wondered if anyone else had any ideas.

it could be anything really. you need a vet to look at him.

I agree with Star (hello). Unless your friend has scan-vision, how could she know which of the tendons it was? My mare has a hole in her SFT and, I only realised there was a problem when she was hanging onto my right rein, along with a solid wind gall. Another livery has 4 holes in her DDFT and has just had stem cell implants, but you need a scan to detect the problem. As Star says, you need to get your equine vet out to do a lameness workup, they will then know whether to x-ray or scan.
