if your horse/pony was diagnosed as having the above in off-hind, was prescribed rest and no riding for 10 months minimum, would you walk it 3 miles to a new yard???

If it wasn't erscribed box rest then I might consider walking it in hand to the new yard, or is that not what you meant?

I mean if you've got not transport then it's your only option isn't it.

Suspensories should be on box rest! they may walk back and forth to the hydrotherapy spa but then this is usually less than 50m form the rehab stables.

Also the vet should be advised of this and they should be the ones to state whether the horse is fit to travel!

Actually.. sometimes it with a suspensory ligament strain it is seen that the vet may request that the horse is walked. SL injuries come in varying degrees and therefore the degree should be taken into acount. If diagnosed box rest then i would not be walking it out.. but if that is the only option, i would do it as some moevement is not going to damage it anymore.

To be fair.. if it is not your horse, and you disagree with how it is being treated.. speak to the horses owner instead of discussing privat business on here. I take it the horse has moved form the yard you are at.. so therefore there is some tension...
