Suspicious Eastern Europeans now in West Wales

At about 8.30 this evening my YO showed me a text she had received stating that there were two Eastern European men hanging around fields and shows taking photos.
Taking photos or taking the p*ss?
What is going on with these bizarre texts and messages etc?
Still, on my guard all the same.
 
Yeh i keep reading the exact same warning all over the place. It's always a different area, read one about it up in scotland and then down in kent. Is it for real? My friend sent me a text last night to say thwy were in our area (lincs)??
 
well concidering the motorway network and the fact that i can be in edinburgh from north wales within 7 hours (including stops) and in london with in 5 hours, it is not impossible for them to be where the texts are saying they are. If it is a hoax it does not matter, it will make every one extra vigalent.
 
I think they probably have been seen in one area and someone has texted their friends and they have texted theirs and that way it has got all over the country. Be good to know in which area it originated so that they could be EXTRA vigilent
 
armchair, they might have been able to buy one horse, but being able to quickly source many horses and then steal them to order is going to make them a hell of alot more money then the fuel costs.
 
The message is passed on without LOCAL being updated to where the sighting was, so people are assuming it is local to them,

Derbyshire was the start point

My thoughts are firstly they are mostly likely to be stealing fuel since they have fake plates who is going to stop them and like the above poster said they could be anywhere given a few hours.

My other thought was maybe this is a gang, of more than two, with several white vans and red pickups?

We just need to stay vigilant.
 
Well I got sent the txt last week I'm in aston-le-walls in northants, then it was read over the PA sytem at Prestwold Horse trials near Loughborough, Leicestershire when I was there on tuesday. It will just pass round so quickly as everyone wants to let everyone know about it.
 
I read on another forum that its actually a gang, using the same reg plate - hence why they can be in so many different places at once!!!
