I have got the vet coming but looking for some advice in the mean time. I have found a lump on my rising 3yr old pony's penis. It is actually on his member not his sheath. I also noticed one on his belly about 4 inchs from his sheath.

Are all lumps found on the penis serious? I lost my first pony, about 20 years ago to penile cancer.

Thank you for any information or advice :)

Possibly a melanoma - is he grey, or got white patches around there?

My horse had a melanoma but on the bit between the penis and the sheath - it has a name, pupice or something. He had the first melanoma removed as it was granulating (open top), but several more have grown and the latest advice is to leave them alone.

Can you take a photo? Always feels like pony porn when I upload them to my computer before emailing to vet :)

Thanks for your reply. He is a black Fell pony. The problem is I saw the lump in a very rare moment when he had it out. I can't get him to get it out so I can have proper look. I think he must be shy! ;)

All the reading I have done has been quite pessimistic but as he is so young I am hoping it is something minor.
