Very suspicious incident today at my house. The horses live at home & we have a yard next to the house with a lorry & tractor etc. This afternoon I was going out, so opened the gate & was just getting in the car when a silver transit came in, reg FM06 ULC. It just drove straight onto the yard. The driver was a man in his sixties.

I went to the house & let the dog out (large boisterous Rottweiler) & the man said that he'd got some spare stable mats in the van that he was selling. I know from reading posts on here that this is the oldest trick in the book to have a good snoop around people's yards. I said I'd already got some & he went on his way.

I was too flustered to get the number plate but luckily after our last prowler incident, we installed 4 cctv cameras so have v clear pictures of the whole incident. I will be reporting it in the morning to the rural police who came out last time, & my saddle is staying in the house for the time being instead of the tack room.

Might be entirely innocent but better safe than sorry & all that.

I've reported to both organisations to ta for that Cuffey.

The reg has been traced to a travelling family who aren't in this area. No link to any naughty behaviour, according to Horsewatch, but better safe than sorry.
