Suspicious van in Armadale, West Lothian

We received a message at work today from the NFU - a white transit van with Mandale Paving written on the side has been trying to visit farms and target horses/tack. It is a 56 reg and is known to police. 3 travellers drive it and are considered to be dangerous, they tried to run over a woman on a yard who questioned them.

Apparently it is genuine so maybe worth everyone keeping their eyes open in Lothian and the Borders.

Also recieved an e-mail via our PC about the same van - didn't realise it originated from NFU.

This van has been seen around the North Yorkshire area this week. Ive been advised by the Police to contact 999 if it reappears.

They drove directly at my car at speed when I tried to approach them on our land. Dont approach it, just call the Police.

Is there any truth to the claim this is supposedly a hoax?

Always better to be safe than sorry, but I find the claim posted elsewhere (not HHO) this is a big hoax a bit weird.
