Suspicious vehicle Sussex

Just wanted to let Sussex people aware that we had a white Mitsubishi pick up, modern style but with old number plate D506 AFZ, checking out our yard about half a hour ago, they stopped right outside not realising I was watching them from the kitchen whilst they checked out our yard, driver saw me and scarpered, I had seen them drive past up the lane previously driving extremely slowly checking out our neighbours house so waited for them to come back down to get number plate not expecting them to actually stop and try to look into our yard! They were there looking in for quite some time, may be nothing but I really don't think so!!!!

I've just done a DVLA check on that numberplate/vehicle combination, and surprise surprise it isn't registered!
Obviously fake plates, probably nicked vehicle too...

They have just been back stopped and the reg is DS06 AFZ, once again scarpered when I went outside to take a picture!!!

Aaah okay, now that registration is legit.

Actually that's a good thing, as it means the police can track down the owner when you report them!

Reported to police, I went out to take a pic on mobile and and they hid their faces, I'm in Pulborough!!

Are the Police taking it seriously ? Could you say you are concerned for your safety...on your own etc ?
