her explanation of the damage gadgets do is excellent, her article about dressage saddles is fascinating... very very impressed so far, well worth a look!
she even talks about "stepping in the stirrup", and i thought my trainer was the only nutter to go on about that!

i never knew that the first year on the lunge at the Spanish Riding School is done bareback... jeez, no wonder those guys all have such great seats.

I've read quite a bit on this site before, particularly the bits section. I came across the gadgets site this morning, funnily enough just before it was posted on the forum! very interesting. Shame some of her areas aren't active at the moment.
The theory seems spot on, although some more practical advice on putting it into practice would be helpful for numpties like me!!

I read bits here and there over the past year or so. I do like to see though when she describes collection. I have people always tellimg me 'long and low and shorten his stride' but my instructor is like head up and power back - and he is right! Unfortunately my boy is very collected naturally and its extending/relaxing thats hard for him.

Just reading that more, on the bit about True collection, and I have to say from what she says it supports the argument that you can be too big to ride sometimes.
Now I feel bad for putting my 12st frame on my 15.1hh cob as that is a lot of weight! That said I have seen him unbalanced when being ridden by an 8st person.
