Hi On Wednesday My boy got caught up in stable door dragging it attached to his head for about 60 feet and has a full depth large cut to front leg which has been sutured. Seen by vet and on box rest. Should i walk him in hand for a couple of mins twice a day to encourage some circulation or does he have to stay in stable all the time.

DePends in where in the leg. If over the tendons I tend to have them walk 2-3laps of the yard from day 1 twice daily. Otherwise a couple if days box rest first.

Hi its just above the coronet band and measures approx 1" by 2" full thickness skin wound but sutured and bandaged. dressing staying on at least until review by vet on Monday

I'd speak to the vet. If you can't get hold of him then I'd leave him in until he's reviewed on Monday.

I'd speak to vet too but probably keep him in til Monday anyway. A lot of tension in that area and potential for breakdown

Quick update allowed to go out for short walks (5 mins) three times a day to allow leg stretch and to get circulation going :)
