Considering that a lot of the South West has ticks, does anyone know of vets who are actually open minded and/or pro active about possible Lyme disease in a horse?

Here in the forest they are. Friend has had 2 ponies tested, one positive. My mare's test showed she'd been exposed at some point. That was with 3 different practices.

God this request makes me so sad. I have no help but man keep badgering the vets. I grew up in the Lyme, CT area and have had 4 times myself. It’s miserable.

Good luck!

Try St Davids Equine or Phoenix. My friend had a horse diaganosed with Lymes and would have used a vet from either of these practices.
