This is her as a four year old -

Following on from post the other day, these have nearly made me change my mind about selling her, what do you think? Would I be stupid when there's no actual need to, it's only OH making rumbly noises and I think she'll suit Aimbrey Chester quite well! I'm looking to have a smart foal that moves well and can do a bit of everything so the world is his/her oyster; is that too much to hope for?

She's by Small Land Maytino and the last out of Fladbury Geisha Girl, who was dam of Wharf Nimrod and grand dam to the Cuddy Champion, Greenbarrow Mr Smee if that helps.

She's a nice little type isn't she, and looks greatly improved in the photo of her as a four year old. Just such a shame she's smaller than you thought when you bought her.

Is she on your own land??

That'll teach me not to do it again won't it?!

If she had been a proper 14.2 we would not be having this conversation, believe me! You'd never believe what a difference four inches makes!
Yes, she's here at home and can easily go up the road with Twiggy and Parky until after Christmas, so keeping her is not a problem as such, it's just that I can't use her atm which does seem a waste.

She's very bonny. Are there no children nearby that'd like to help rebreak her over winter, and then you could breed from her next year?
I rode a crazy 13.2 pony as a 11/12 yr old for someone whose daughter was over-horsed, so I'm sure you could find a light enough competent jockey for her.

I wish!
They all either seem to have their own already or aren't anywhere near capable enough to be allowed near any pony! We also don't have the best riding facilities (they're nil to be precise!) only the field which is already quite wet and sludgy so with no lights (and parents would have to transport too) we'd be restricted to weekends only anyway. I could put up a card in the feed merchants just on the off chance as long as I don't hold my breath!

It would have to be without a trap!

Long story! She was covered by A Chester and put up twins, they tried to pinch one out but at next scan still two heartbeats so they aborted then re covered. SN and I collected her mid July after she was scanned not in foal (too late to try again for me). Typically, this is the second time a mare of mine has twinned there and they have possibly botched it both times so it's been waste of another £400 to use a free return of £300! Next year it will be AI at home for that return! Having Tiger here this summer taught me what a mad time it was for covering so I'm not blaming the stud but I was less than happy with their vets.

So not really costing you anything to keep. Wrong time of year to sell anyway. You're not sure. Problem solved - keep her!

I think that was the answer I wanted!
