so ive purchased a stunning coloured gelding 13.3hh but reg as 138cm for comps
hes 12 yrs old and a absolute sweety to do in all ways , but if im honest ive had him 2 months and with work ive ridden him a handful of times, he wasnt ever what i was looking for but is a truly genuine lovely pony who would suit a pc home
so do you think id be better to advertise for a swap for a 14.2hh ish plod type or just sell him ?
im thinking maybe theres a mum who wants to forego her non competetave type so kiddy can progress ?
cookies if you got this far :}

It would be better to sell your pony & then look around for the replacement pony. If you offer a swap then you will be limiting your choice of replacement as there will be fewer people wanting to go that route.

I would advertise for sale and include in the advert the possibility for a swap.

No point limiting your market if you want the pony to move on quickly and get yourself something new soon.

Try the pony club, they are most likely to know someone (or several) who are looking, in my day (many years ago) it was common for ponies to play musical homes as people grew out of them.

Otherwise everyone else is correct. Sell your pony and then look for your plod.
