Sorry I know feed questions are completely done to death and this is a complete newbie question too :o

Currently my boy is on topspec lite balancer, I'm wanting to switch this to one less full of fillers etc. So I've been looking a Pro Hoof or Equimins. As these are powders, obviously the quantity needed is much different. I know it always says to introduce gradually for new feeds, but how do you switch over safely?

I honestly feel completely stupid for asking this question :D ATM he gets 2 cups of topspec, so would you feed 1 cup plus half the amount of new stuff that he should get? Or could you just straight switch it? If it was a chaff or something I know that you can just mix them gradually until he's on the new one but as this is vits and mins I don't know if you're supposed to do it differently?

Any help much appreciated. I'm sure the answer is simple but I don't want to cause any problems!

Depending on the size of the horse, you usually feed a scoop per day (scoop is provided). Take horse off top spec (good for you - it's full of ****) and over the course of 5 days, just gradually phase in the new stuff.

I just swap from one balancer to another without any phase in and it's never been a problem. Unless they're dramatically different I don't think it matters.
