Hi all. I know the usual thing is to do it slowly, but I have read a few reports that suggest swapping from Orijen to a "normal" kibble isn't entirely straightforward, even when done slowly, due to how the Orijen kibble is digested.

I love the Orijen and would happily keep him on it permanently. However, Harvey is VERY food orientated and we're finding he is constantly seeking food because as the Orijen is sooooo high in nutritional value that the volume you feed is minimal. It really is a small handful of food, three times a day. He is putting alot of weight on with it though, so I know it's good for him, but obviously I wouldn't want to increase the portions due to this.

I was going to get him Arden Grange initially, before I'd moved to the Orijen, but nowhere locally stocked it. Online it was almost as dear as Orijen - hence why I opted for Orijen in the end.

I've been to a little Garden Centre tonight as they have a craft shop (Easter Bonnet Parade on Thursday!) and found they stocked Arden Grange. Hurrah!

I've bought the blue puppy/junior bag. I have probably two weeks of Orijen left and would normally just slowly decrease the Orijen and increase the Arden Grange. Is this still the best way to do it, regardless of comments suggesting it's not the easiest food to swap from?
