Well, the sun is set to shine all day here, daughter has finally stopped throwing up so can do her pony herself today, so I get to pamper mine for a change lol Have a good day everyone
- the neds were all lying down have a kip in the sunshine when I went to feed them this morning - warming them selves up whilst getting a bit more mud on them!!
Well off to do some work - hopefully the weather will hold out and I will be able to ride later!!!
Just got up...this is the latest I've slept for a long time..woohoo for school holidays and teenagers that sleep in...ponies will have to wait a bit longer for breakfast this morning
If daughter gets up soon we'll be riding this morning, then she's off to a friends while I go into town (YUK) to get some bits and bobs for my son's 16th birthday tomorrow(where has my baby gone!!

It's shining here too, but is NOT a good Monday. Broke the company website yesterday
, twiddling my thumbs waiting for the fix to upload, fingers crossed.
I suppose the positive is there will be no orders to pack.
Have to finish by 11am as need to get pony out for a lesson with T's friend C who has finished school for the summer, poor T doesn't finish till tomorrow.
so far today ive done the weekly shop, then went for a nice hack and lunged the fat one.
so lucky she doesnt mind aeroplanes a massive one flew right above us and really low so could of ended in trouble, tend not to hack on my own too much after mums accident, but she was very gd.
really got to get my ass into gear and get some work down. i too have lots of poo-picking to catch up on and with 4 there tends to be alot!
we have big load of french students staying on site at mo and for some reason they think it is ok for the boys to be in girls toilets?? and they found a football, which is ours and started playing with it in the yard where all cars come in and kept hitting cars with it
Just back from work and got some admin to do before heading out to ride the two lumps!! They had an unexpected day off yesterday due to the monsoon so I expect they will be a bit spritely!!
Just having a sit down and a cuppa before that though.
Well, back lady has been and daughter's horse did have a dipped pelvis!! All been put right, but she's got to have a few days mooching about now!! She'll hate that!!
Big one was ok too, just a little tweek to sort her out, her overhaul was fine!
Everything else fine and now all munching happily!
Weather has been lovely here today, long may it continue, so that we can start riding again!!!
Glad the back person went okay F_s , I'm hoping to get a Mctimoney person to come out and have a look at Darce after camp which is next week He had one side of his pelvis twisted, and another side dipped, so work that one out! Anywho he has to have the chiro out a bit to keep that in check. He's way overdue but the saddler keeps an eye on him for me too and reckons he's looking good.
Just in time for our holiday! I'm going to die
My ways of going are :
1) Woman who I called stupid beheads me.
2) Darcy ends up throwing me off somewhere that I can't be found from!
3) No horse and hound!!!
Now D_L, you're not going to die!! and none of those will apply!!!
The woman, will say you are fantastic, Darcy will be an angel, and willdo everything...perfectly!! and...we'll all be waiting for you when you come back to tell us all about it, with lots of pictures!!!
Well Darcy maybe a complete angel - but that is because Nixon is being a complete GIT!!! Grrrrrrrrrrr................
I got him into ride - the plan was a good half an hour of work and then get the coblet in and give her half an hour of work. Well we went in the school which was a bit heavy and deep after the rain and people working in it over the weekend and too wet for the YO to rake it - so he tripped a couple of times and I was worried he was lame as he wasn't keen on going into trot etc So I hopped off and got YO to watch while I trotted him and then he trotted him while I watched - decided the big grey lump was having me on. So got back on and thought I would go down the track to the field to see if he was 'lame' down on the grass. So it then took half an hour to get down the track - I had left my stick in the yard - we went forward two steps and stood etc etc while we were standing I did pull his mane - so not a complete waste!! - finally he went down there and we got into the jumping paddock where after much reluctance I got a half decent trot out of him and got him over the trotting poles and got a few strides of half decent canter out of him. Then we came back - wasn't going to let the bugger win BUT I am knackered now and the poor little coblet didn't get a ride because of him!!
I'm glad you didn't let him win, but what a palava!!!
It must be something in the air, because despite managing to get backs done etc. our lot were right pains today! The big one kept wanting to go in the stable when the back lady was doing daughter's horse, even though she was trying to get out of it earlier!!! The mini just bucked around the menage like an idiot, then escaped when the gate was open to take the barrow out...he nipped through!!
Darcy actually did behave tonight. We went on a hack around the woods etc and he had to go across a concrete raised bar type thing, which usually meant spinning and rearing etc. But today he just stepped over it. Then we had to walk over this fallen log thingy that usually would result in spinning/ rearing etc but he just hopped over that. And then we had to go up 2 rather steep "step-up" type verges which usually he'd spin and rear at but again - he just got on with it.
So don't let him hear what your lot are all up to! Glad you won though
evening all, just got back from a lovely hack but think I pushed it too far with pony, had to come up this steep track and the poor devil had to stop every few steps. I was considering jumping off but looking up the hill I would have been stopping every step
