Been up since 7 and took my dog for a walk over the top of the beach, so peacefull and the sea so calm, was a picture postcard.

Morning! Just off out to spectate at a show.. it's the veteran champs and one of the ladies at the yard is hoping for a third champion rosette! We all ADORE the horse (he's 28) and his owner is lovely so fingers crossed!

MrT, i don't envy you in the slightest, having just moved house... i'm sick of the sight of boxes. i'm also sick of my husband's random hoarding habits. i have found myself unpacking boxes that he's 'packed' full of rubbish. i actually found an old, mouldy toothbrush in one, asked him about it, and he said it 'might be useful' in the future... men. humpf.

well, morning all. hope you have a lovely day, and ceiling painting/show spectating go well.

i think my day will be taken up unpacking boxes of rubbish... i'm expecting to find the contents of our kitchen bin in one of the boxes... if i do (and this is a promise) i will empty it on his head... or maybe i'll fake a 'twinge' and get myself into hospital for a few days... hopefully coming home to an unpacked house...

Theres me packing and you unpacking!!!!! Isn't life fun living out of cardboard boxes!!!! I hate it and plan to die in the next house just so I dont have to move again!

LOL MrsM!!!!! Never thought of it that way!!!!! But really dont envy anyone this awful job!!! Its amazing how much rubbish I've collected as well.... now have trailer sitting inside garage overflowing with stuff to go to the tip!

Daughter and Friend have gone for a hack with Wimbles, so no doubt won't see them for hours!
 
Just woke up a bit ago...some other liveries were trying to get me to go to a local gymkhana and use their entries, since they had to pull out for various reasons, but clearly, that ain't gonna happen. Think I'll have a nice leisurely breakfast (maybe French toast with canned peaches? MMM.) and then go for a hack.

Hey all, had busy, but good day so far. Was up at 6.30 to move horsey into back paddock- found he'd lost another shoe second in as many days!!!

Then set off to town to meet the ferry at 7.30 to pick up new loan horsey

who is acquainting himself with the Min as we speak. (Although someone had a strop about new horsey speaking to his mum- but all resolved when we discovered new horsey can reach our withers for mutual grooming- Shettie is too short so has now been offically dismissed in that department!!) Will post pics later.

On way to put borrowed trailer back at a friend's yard, met G (see post about RIP Star) so stopped to give him a cuddle and he cooked us a full english breakfast as he "needed cheering up". Poor guy is beating himself up about it abit, despite assuring him it could have happened to any horse at any time.

Just ben for the nicest hack the weather is lovely! I love the way the horses dont flinch at diggers been driven by but see a water pump and they go crazy!!

Mum is washing up or something so I thought I would pop in to say hello and have a chat with you all. Firstly I need you to have a word with her - I mean I like being made a fuss of but I'm not so keen on this work malarkey - especially this schooling twaddle. Hooning around the fields is one thing but expecting me to do circles - whats that about

?? I mean as if any self respecting cob would do that?? Anyhoo I had a chat with the BGL about it and we think that you lot maybe encouraging here with all this riding stuff - so STOP IT!!! We like hanging out doing nothing but eat!!

First I get groomed - brushed all the knots, leaves, bits of grass etc etc out of my tail.....

So far so good as I had my nose shoved in a haynet......but then out came my TACK!!!! So I tried to hide....

Then I had to go in the school and do that circle nonsense - Grrrrr.......while I was there another lady who keeps her horses there came to see me - I like her 'cos she gives me carrots - but even though she gave me a kiss and told me she loved me and I was beautiful didn't let me out the school - so I'm not sure I believe her

.....Anyway I did canter on both legs and mum was well pleased and gave me lots of praise - silly woman doesn't she know I figured out if I do that I get to stop?? Anyway was sulking when i left - you can see my bottom lip....

Coblet was v funny when she saw her tack tried to hide her head under the haynet and then stomped round the school when we first went in - still was a good girl in the end!!

there isn't going to be any fry ups if I can help it, I'm riding tomorrow night out with a friend and my daughter, house clearance on tuesday with hopefully a hack in the evening, wed morning riding, maybe thursday off then riding again on friday before I go out with the girls
