Went to Derby County Show. Apart from terrible organization (no police controlling traffic - we gave up and parked two miles away

); them not accpeting cards to pay entry (and no cash machines on-site); not enough space for lorries to get in and out; very little in he way of seating, etc etc etc; and classes running an hour late, it was good

My sunburn (which was covered up) has blistered - boo hoo.

On the way out, along the road, a lorry hit the girl in front ofus! It was too far over to the left - think wheels on road and overhang in pavement's space - it put a long red line down her shoulder and pulled her bag out of her hand and ran over it! I left my number 'cos the driver really was not in the right position at all, there were loads of pedestrians who were all on the pavement and minding own business.

ahem... lambirini is not my drink of choice

but it is about the only thing I can drink without falling over as I don't really drink as a rule

Coooooooeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

Hi peeps!!

Well the show is over for another year!! Am absolutely knackered but it went really well. The bigh grey lump despite his truly apalling behaviour on Friday managed a 4th in the stressage

- we got beaten out of the rosettes by my coblet!!

Neice was riding her but as I have done all the work I think it should be mine.....Anyway the coblet was a very good girl and also got 3rd in the in hand with me!!

My eldest neice made out like a bandit and got a rosette in every event she entered

except the fancy dress and my youngest neice did really well and got a couple of rosettes and did her first canter in the games!!

Large jug of Pimms and BBQ later - all the neds are out in the fields fed and watered

and everyone has collapsed in a heap.

How is everyone today??

samstar - good to have you back - just going to have a quick bath and change of clothes and I'll be ready - have a large jug of tropical fruit punch.....

Is very hot here

- could do with some rain to freshen things up!!
