Hi F_s god just had lucky escape with my discovery, I park it in shop car park that has a slight slope and ex just rang me to say I'd better run fast as it is in middle of main road, ran down and handbrake is still on, theres 5 men trying to push it back in car park

hi guys

what a morning!!!
get up at 7.30 to get archie to vets on time, get there for 9am and only just got back at 12.15pm!!!
have done nerve blocks xrays and appears to be arthritis, but have kept him to do more specific nerve blocks and then i guess treatment.

so any ideas if this will affect him selling and his future career of being ridden??
 
oh bugger. it depends on what exstent the arthritis is and what he will be able to cope with and what buy wants him for. my gelding has spavin in both hocks and it doesn't realy affect him and he does all riding club activities so its not all doom and gloom just wait and see what the outcome is and take it from there and try not to worry.
 
well have a lady who despite all this lameness is still really keen on him, she wants him for riding club activities so abit of allsorts.

do you think i should ring insurance company?
called them other day to let them now he was going back, but told them it was a back leg as this is what vet previously thought, but its both fronts that have been xrayed and nerve blocked etc.

(ive always thought it was a front leg!!)
 
you don't need to phone the insurance company as they know that there will be a claim. however if you want to let them know it is his front end instead of back end let them know it won't do aqny harm if buyer is keen just wait till you get the outcome of the vet and let her know whats happening.
 
Good to hear you are finally getting to the bottom of Archie's lameness issues.

Quite often they will appear lame in the opposite leg to the one that is affected due to the way they carry themselves.
I would expect it to severely effect the price you will be able to sell him for as it will effect his future and his capablilities and would definitely contact the insurance company to update them.
 
but thing is ive already paid for back leg examination so will they take this off excess amount, as its now a front leg?
 
they should do as it is one claim and although it origanaly looked like hind limb lameness nerve blocks confirmed front leg lames just make the vet aware the claim is from the first call out for archie

Glad you have got to the bottom of Archie's lameness, as HP said it often shows on the opposite leg to the one's effected. However, now you can start to treat and hopefully he will feel better!

A chap did that at our old house and as he went to push the car back got trapped by it!!! It was awful!!

well nearly to the bottom of it, hopefully it will improve with treatment. got insurance claim form through this morn, so guess i can get that filled out when i go to collect him.
 
Well my downstairs is looking as if I need to hire a cleaner, dust everywhere, my son and his mate have pulled down the sealing in my breakfast room and it was not straight forward like they thought it would be. It was made from plaster and long bits of wood (forgotten the proper name) but sure you lot know what I mean

Yeah I totally agree, just a bit of a downer! Thought she was on the up.

I feel a bit bad though - I was quite rude to the vet because I couldnt understand his accent and thought he was doing a telephone survey!!
