Sweet Itch in tail

Pony with sweet itch in its tail. Would you recomend pulling the tail?

I won't help the sweet itch. Only tidy it up

Get some Nettex Itch Stop and maybe put a fly rug on.

I guess pulling it would make it easier to put fly spray on the tail right through to the skin, but it would make no difference to the pony having sweet itch. I second the nettex itch stop cream, really fab stuff. Sadly not enough for my sweet itch horse, so she is in a sweet itch rug when ever turned out - even now when she is only turned out at night. Without it she is just desperate to scratch on anything she can.
